The Reima x Minna Parikka unisex collection is sustainable design and functional fun for all kids

The kids’ active wear brand Reima joined forces with Finland’s most famous contemporary shoe designer Minna Parikka to create an exclusive children’s clothing and footwear collection for spring/summer 2023 – Reima x Minna Parikka

Reima, known for high performance functional designs, has paired up with iconic contemporary Finnish shoe designer Minna Parikka to mash up practical function with fun and imagination for spring/summer 2023.

Known and loved for her playful, colorful, and surreal designs, Minna Parikka shoes have graced the feet of celebrities, and now they are available to Reima kids all over the world. This collaboration allowed Minna to stretch her themes to clothing, too.

”Kids should be PLAYing freely and with comfort without any restraints. Having fun and enjoy all the colors of the rainbow is the essence of childhood. I wanted to create a collection that allows that in a unisex way. Children can decide how to express and be themselves in any way or form that they choose”, says Minna Parikka, and continues: “It has been a joy to design this Reima x Minna Parikka collection with fun, sustainability and function in mind and it’s very relevant now and in the world we’re living in!”

The Reima x Minna Parikka shoes are small wonders of sustainable design: All shoes in the collection are animal-free and contain recycled materials. The contents of each shoe are published, so the user can see exactly what the product is made from, which is not common in the shoe business. Also, the apparel in the collection is made with more sustainable materials*.

“We’re so excited of this collaboration with Minna Parikka! She brings the next level fun, and style to Reima’s activewear brand. This collection brings joy to kids in many forms; visual, comfort and sustainability perspective” says Johanna Sarviharju, Chief Experience Officer at Reima.

The Reima x Minna Parikka collection will be available from 15th March in Reima online, Reima app and brand stores, as well as selected retailers.
