Reima successfully continued its sustainability efforts in 2024

Reima is progressing towards its climate targets. The Group's total emissions from 2024 decreased, especially so in the company's own operations. This year, too, an even larger proportion of the products were made from preferred materials.

For Reima, the year 2024 was the first full year without Russian operations. Sales continued to grow in international markets: comparable net sales excluding Russia increased by 5 per cent compared to the previous year. Reima Group's total revenue in 2024 was EUR 84.1 million (2023: EUR 90.7 million). Reima's emission reduction targets were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative in early 2023, and the targets were aligned with the Paris Agreement. In 2024, Reima's own operations’ so-called Scope 1 and 2 emissions decreased by 38% compared to the starting year 2021, and product-specific emissions per piece for the entire production chain decreased by 9%. Total emissions decreased by a total of 51%.

Employees and customers are satisfied

Reima’s products are sold in nearly 50 countries around the world. Internationally, the net promoter score (NPS), which measures the satisfaction of Reima consumers, was an excellent 75 in 2024, which for its part indicates the satisfaction of families with both Reima's products and service. Employee satisfaction (4.6/5) and commitment (82%) also remained at an excellent level during the year.

All so called Tier 1 suppliers who produced finished goods for Reima in 2024 have undergone environmental and human rights audits. In this way, Reima continued the 100% audits coverage achieved in 2022 among Tier 1 factories.

Material choices have the biggest impact

The environmental impacts of clothing companies are mainly due to the production of new products. In clothing production, materials cause the largest emissions, so with smart material choices, companies can also reduce their footprint most effectively. The share of Reima apparel styles incorporating preferred materials has increased from under 5% in 2019 to an excellent outcome of 99% in the 2025 collections. This includes styles with a bluesign® approved main material, styles containing recycled or organic fibers, or with RWS certified wool. In addition to this, the share of preferred materials by weight rose to 76% of all materials utilized in all products in 2024.

Actions for the circular economy

In late 2024, Reima launched its own Second hand online store in cooperation with Ninyes in Finland. This was a new step towards a circular economy. The online store is integrated into Reima's own online store, which makes it easy to buy both new and used products.

Reima's collaboration with the Finnish company FabPatch was recognized in 2024 when the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra named it one of the cutting-edge circular economy solutions that support biodiversity and business growth. The cooperation with FabPatch began already in 2021, when Reima stores joined the first wave of retailers to offer FabPatch™ repair patches.
